Overview

Itinerary

  1. Arrival at Velana International, speedboat to Centara Ras Fushi, sunset welcome on the beach.

  2. Morning house-reef snorkel, lunch overwater, free afternoon at the spa or lagoon.

  3. Sandbank excursion in the morning, group sunset dolphin cruise in the evening.

  4. Speedboat back to Malé, flight to Colombo, evening at leisure on Galle Face Green.

  5. Pettah market, Independence Square, the National Museum, and a Cinnamon Gardens lunch.

  6. Drive north via a Pinnawala elephant orphanage stop, arriving Sigiriya for an evening at leisure.

  7. Early climb of Sigiriya, breakfast on return, afternoon at the Dambulla Cave Temples.

  8. Drive to Kandy via a spice garden in Matale, arriving in time for the evening Temple of the Tooth puja.

  9. Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya in the morning, free afternoon, traditional Kandyan dance show in the evening.

  10. One of the world's great train rides: 4 hours through tea plantations and waterfalls into the highlands.

  11. Visit a working tea factory, walk Pedro Estate, afternoon high tea at the Grand Hotel.

  12. Early start for Horton Plains National Park and the World's End cliff. Afternoon free.

  13. Drive down to Colombo via Kitulgala (~5h), farewell dinner at a seafront restaurant.

  14. Transfer to airport for international departure. End of services.

Maldives: hot and humid (28–31°C), occasional showers — full island activity. Sri Lanka: dry and warm in the cultural triangle (30°C+), cool in the highlands (15–22°C, bring a light jacket).

Yes. We book first-class observation-car seats on the Kandy–Nuwara Eliya line. Around 4 hours, scenic, perfectly safe.

Yes — Day 12 is the only optional outing. If you'd rather stay at the Tea Factory and rest, that's fine.

USD is fine in Maldives. Sri Lanka uses LKR; cards work in cities, ATMs everywhere. Bring some USD for tips.
